This EP is one of the most popular after a decade of it being out now. Originally this album was released March 14th 2010. 'I Can't Handle Change' first music product 'ROAR' had been released to the public independently. This album was initially Owen Evans response to his ex-band's demise. As he openly expressed his fears of change, collaboration, separation, and losing all of the work he put into songwriting. This could have been why he had taken an unaccompanied approach to creating his first solo-album. In his mind, by working alone wouldn't have to worry about the fear he exhibits.

Lyric Analysis

The lyrics in "Christmas Kids" had a very deep meaning and story behind it. Previously in my last few posts I've talked about how this song was meant to reference one of the crime cases of "Phill Spector" . Owen Evan sings the lyrics as if its in different point of views of someone, the first half of the song is to be interpreted in Phill's perspective or thought's. "Ronnette, my dear, don't ever disappear

Do what you want as long as you stay here" Phill is speaking about his wife Ronnie, who he had an abusive and obsessive behavior over during their marriage.

This album is something I listen to frequently. Not only is it my favorite out of this artist, I love the meaning behind the lyrics and the music even more. Songs like ´ Poor Grammar ´, which explores the struggles of communication and how difficult it can be expressing oneself. ´ The Comfort of a Laugh Track ´ this song explains how it feels to be isolated and struggling with social anxiety. Both these songs describe how difficult it is to communicate with others while feeling like an outsider.

It really resonates with me and the eternal issues I deal with in my life.

¨Is there something you should say
That I don't wanna know?¨ . . .

¨When I scare the last away
All of the fault will be my own

Why is it so hard to speak
To people I don't know?
Is it something that you learn
When constantly alone?¨ .

He has a son which he possibly still home schools, or is tinkering and building electronics when his son is asleep.

Graffiti and Hip Hop are two forms of art that are emerged in similar urban environments and share many themes. Graffiti is a creative outlet, allowing marginalized voices to be expressive with themselves. Visuals help tell a story or even give the songs and music a deeper meaning, like in music videos or album covers.

The most album covers of 'ROAR' have very good art made by the Owen Evans and sometimes others. For example, uses different forms of art for some, like for 'Impossible Animals' he used needle work to create the birds in the album.
