Use very light weight torsion springs around the pivot point (bolt) that lock into each arm. You could adjust their tension by using a set screw on either the arm or the pivot to compress the spring more or less.

After figuring out that Tiger (open printer) was not connected to the computer, rebooting both, and reloading material, I saved the file and printed four parts through USB. -Jeff
