L1- I used a smooth texture for the base of my waves, cool colors to represent the chillness of the ocean, and a asymmetric layer to emphasize the huge tide. 
L2- The artist I researched is under the radar, but his work deals alot  with carving and asymmetrical work.
L3- The project last time was based off perspective which I am also implementing in this project.

So far I'm still working in my guide, I first tried carving to see if I would choose an idea from one of my 50 and turns out I'm more interested in ocean imagery.
