That you are free to make your own opinions. That you are free and not in slavery. (HF)

On October 28, 1886, the Statue made its debut as about 1 million New Yorkers gathered for the ceremony. Sculptor Auguste Bartholdi pulled a cord that released a French flag that covered the Statue of Liberty's face.
