         <description><![CDATA[<div>First, the nitrogen gas travels in the plant's bumps. Next, Bacteria turns them into ammonia and then travels to a different bacteria and turn it in to nitrites. Lastly it goes in to the last bacteria and turns into nitrates, the whole process is called nitrification. After that process nitrates go up the plant and create protein. Then, the animals eat the plants. After they die, they decompose and release nitrogen gas in to the air. The cycle repeats.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Nitrogen moves into the nodules of the plants and the bacteria in the plants turn them into ammonia. The ammonia is then turned into nitrite because of a different bacteria. Then ANOTHER bacteria turn the nitrite into nitrate which plants use as protein. The animals consume the protein in the fruit or vegetable. When the animal dies, decomposers decompose the body and it turns back into nitrogen. Humans drive cars that release nitrogen. If too much nitrogen is in the air, it can be dangerous.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong><em>The Nitrogen cycle is the process of continually recycling Nitrogen from living and non- living things between Earth and the atmosphere.<br><br>In my own words:</em></strong><br>The Nitrogen cycle is a process of nitrogen changing into difffrent things and finally becoming something that we humans, animals, and plants use to live and grow. First what happens is the nitrogen travels from the air to the soil and then into little ball looking things called Nodules that are filled with bacteria. The Nitrogen is not ready for the plant to use yet, so the bacteria inside the Nodules change the Nitrogen to Ammonia. The ammonia is not ready for the plants to use either because it can be very toxic, so the Nitrogen/ammonia travels to different bacteria in the soil and is changes to Nitrites. The Nitrites are not ready for the plant to use, so it goes to another bacteria where it transforms into Nitrates. Now the Nitrates are ready for the plant to use. The Nitrates travel back to the plant where the plant uses it. When an animal or human eats the plant we get the Nitrates and we use them.<br>When an animal dies the nitrogen travels back into the air and the cycle begins again. This is the AMAZING process of the Nitrogen cycle.<strong><em><br></em></strong><br><br></div>]]></description>

Then the Ammonia gets converted by bacteria into nitrites and then the nitrites get converted into nitrates by more bacteria which becomes is a nourishment for plants. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The nitrogen cycle is the process of continually recycling nitrogen from living things to non-living things between Earth and it's atmosphere. First, the nitrogen from the air travels into the soil, and then into nodules on plants. Then, the bacteria in the nodules turn the nitrogen into ammonia. After that, the ammonia leaves the nodules and then bacteria in the soil turn it into nitrites. Then, a different bacteria turns the nitrites into nitrates. That whole process is called nitrification. Plants use the nitrates to create the protein they need to live. Animals get protein from eating plants or eating other animals who have eaten plants. After those plants and animals die, they decompose which releases nitrogen back into the cycle. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The Nitrogen cycle explained <br>By Aidan Williams from Mrs. Dellinger’s HR<br><br>Nitrogen gas is in the air. The process that is recycling nitrogen from living things to non-living things between Earth and its atmosphere is called the Nitrogen cycle. The bacteria in the soil helps the nodules turn into ammonia, but that isn’t safe so the bacteria turns ammonia into nitrites, but that still isn’t safe for plants, so bacteria turns the nitrites into nitrates. The process is called nitrification. Plants then make nitrates into protein which animals use to grow. After animals die and produce waste bacteria changes nitrates from waste, dead plants and animals back into nitrogen gas.<br><br></div>]]></description>

Humans are driving cars that produce nitrogen, making it harder and harder for plants to keep up. What we can do is ride our bikes more often and not drive everywhere.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The nitrogen cycle is the process of continually recycling nitrogen from living things to non-living things between Earth and it's atmosphere. First, the nitrogen from the air travels into a plants soil, and then into nodules on plants. Next, the bacteria in the nodules turn the nitrogen into ammon. Then, the ammonia leaves the nodules and then bacteria in the soil turn it into nitrites. Next, a different bacteria turns the nitrites into nitrates, That process is called nitrification. Plants use the nitrates to create the protein they need to live. Animals get protein from eating plants or eating other animals who have eaten plants. After those plants and animals die, they decompose which releases nitrogen back into the cycle.</div>]]></description>

All <a href="https://www.visionlearning.com/en/glossary/view/organism/pop">organisms</a> require nitrogen to live and grow. Although the majority of the air we breathe is N<sub>2</sub>, most of the nitrogen in the <a href="https://www.visionlearning.com/en/glossary/view/atmosphere/pop">atmosphere</a> is unavailable for use by organisms. This is because the strong triple <a href="https://www.visionlearning.com/en/glossary/view/bond/pop">bond</a> between the N <a href="https://www.visionlearning.com/en/glossary/view/atom/pop">atoms</a> in N<sub>2</sub> <a href="https://www.visionlearning.com/en/glossary/view/molecule/pop">molecules</a> makes it relatively <a href="https://www.visionlearning.com/en/glossary/view/inert/pop">inert</a>, or unreactive, whereas organisms need reactive nitrogen to be able to incorporate it into <a href="https://www.visionlearning.com/en/glossary/view/cell/pop">cells</a>. In order for plants and animals to be able to use nitrogen, N<sub>2</sub> <a href="https://www.visionlearning.com/en/glossary/view/gas/pop">gas</a> must first be converted to more a chemically available form such as ammonium (NH<sub>4</sub><sup>+</sup>), nitrate (NO<sub>3</sub><sup>-</sup>), or <a href="https://www.visionlearning.com/en/glossary/view/organic/pop">organic</a> nitrogen (e.g., urea, which has the <a href="https://www.visionlearning.com/en/glossary/view/formula/pop">formula</a> (NH<sub>2</sub>)<sub>2</sub>CO). The inert nature of N<sub>2</sub> means that biologically available nitrogen is often in short supply in natural <a href="https://www.visionlearning.com/en/glossary/view/ecosystem/pop">ecosystems</a>, limiting plant growth.<br><br>Nitrogen is an incredibly versatile <a href="https://www.visionlearning.com/en/glossary/view/element/pop">element</a>, existing in both <a href="https://www.visionlearning.com/en/glossary/view/inorganic/pop">inorganic</a> and <a href="https://www.visionlearning.com/en/glossary/view/organic/pop">organic</a>forms as well as many different <a href="https://www.visionlearning.com/en/glossary/view/oxidation+state/pop">oxidation states</a>. The movement of nitrogen between the <a href="https://www.visionlearning.com/en/glossary/view/atmosphere/pop">atmosphere</a>, <a href="https://www.visionlearning.com/en/glossary/view/biosphere/pop">biosphere</a>, and <a href="https://www.visionlearning.com/en/glossary/view/geosphere/pop">geosphere</a> in different forms is called the <em>nitrogen cycle</em> (Figure 1), one of the major <a href="https://www.visionlearning.com/en/glossary/view/biogeochemical/pop">biogeochemical</a> cycles. Similar to the carbon cycle, the nitrogen cycle consists of various reservoirs of nitrogen and processes by which those reservoirs exchange nitrogen (note the arrows in the figure). (See <a href="https://www.visionlearning.com/library/module_viewer.php?mid=95">The Carbon Cycle</a> module for more information.)<br>Five main processes cycle nitrogen through the <a href="https://www.visionlearning.com/en/glossary/view/biosphere/pop">biosphere</a>, <a href="https://www.visionlearning.com/en/glossary/view/atmosphere/pop">atmosphere</a>, and geosphere: <a href="https://www.visionlearning.com/en/glossary/view/nitrogen+fixation/pop">nitrogen fixation</a>, nitrogen uptake through organismal growth, nitrogen <a href="https://www.visionlearning.com/en/glossary/view/mineralization/pop">mineralization</a> through <a href="https://www.visionlearning.com/en/glossary/view/decay/pop">decay</a>, <a href="https://www.visionlearning.com/en/glossary/view/nitrification/pop">nitrification</a>, and <a href="https://www.visionlearning.com/en/glossary/view/denitrification/pop">denitrification</a>. Microorganisms, particularly <a href="https://www.visionlearning.com/en/glossary/view/bacteria/pop">bacteria</a>, play major roles in all of the principal nitrogen transformations. Because these processes are microbially mediated, or controlled by microorganisms, these nitrogen transformations tend to occur faster than geological processes like plate motion, a very slow, purely physical <a href="https://www.visionlearning.com/en/glossary/view/process/pop">process</a>that is a part of the carbon cycle. Instead, rates are affected by environmental factors that influence <a href="https://www.visionlearning.com/en/glossary/view/microbial/pop">microbial</a> activity, such as temperature, moisture, and resource availability.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Nitrogen cycle is the material cycle of ecosystem which describes the transformation process between nitrogen and nitrogen-containing compounds in nature.<br>The process of nitrogen cycle : plants absorb ammonium and nitrate from soil, and then assimilate these inorganic nitrogen into organic nitrogen such as protein in plants. Animals directly or indirectly take plants as food and assimilate organic nitrogen in plants into organic nitrogen in animals. The organic nitrogen compounds in the remains, effluents and residues of animals and plants are decomposed by microorganisms to form ammonia. Under aerobic condition, ammonia or ammonium salt in soil is oxidized to nitrate under the action of nitrifying bacteria. The inorganic nitrogen produced by ammoniation and nitrification can be absorbed and utilized by plants. Under the condition of lack of oxygen, nitrate in soil is reduced to nitrite by denitrifying bacteria and other microorganisms, and the component nitrogen is further reduced, while the molecular nitrogen is returned to the atmosphere. Finally, the molecular nitrogen is reduced to ammonia and other nitrogen-containing compounds.</div>]]></description>
