This is a method of printmaking technique.
The process is this: A design is cut into linoleum surface with a sharp knife, a v shaped chisel along with the uncarved areas showing a mirror image of the parts to show printed. The linoleum sheet is inked with a brayer (roller), which is impressed onto the paper or fabric needed. The actual printing itself can be done either by hand or using a printer.

Linoleum was used as a floor covering, dating back to the 1860's, but the linocut printing technique wasn't used until between 1905 - 1913 by Die Brücke in Germany. Where it was used for wallpaper printing.

Blank image, which is capable of containing moisture, repel the lithographic ink. This surface is then printed either directly on paper, by means of a special press or onto a rubber cylinder as in commercial printing.

This was created in 1798 by Alois Senefelder of Munich. Who used Bavarian limestone for his creation. The secret of lithographic printing was kept secret until 1818, when Senefelder published openly about this technique.

Laser Printing is a electrostatic digital printing process. It is capable of good quality text and graphics and mid quality photographs. This is done by repeatedly moving a laser beam back and forth over negatively charged cylinder known as a "drum" to define a differentially charged image. The drum then receives electrically charged powdered ink and moves the image to paper. which is then heated to fuse the text and/or images. Same with digital photocopiers, laser printers also include a xerographic printing process. However, this is not the exact same.

This was Invented in the 1970s by Xerox PARC , laser printers were introduced for the office and then homes in later years.

They vary from small, cheap versions to expensive professional machines.

The idea of inkjet printing was developed in the 20th century, and was first developed in the early 1950s. Beginning in the late 1970s, inkjet printers that could recreate digital images originally created by computers were made. mainly by Hewlett-Packard, Canon and Epson. In the global market, these four companies are responsible for the majority of inkjet printer sales, including Brother.

What Are The Advantages of Digital Publishing?

Since the sudden explosion in the popularity of the internet. Digital Publishing has taken the global market by storm, but what are the advantages of such things?

With digital publishing, you can easily reach a large target audience. This is because the internet is global and anyone, anywhere can access your products. Meanwhile, with print, you tend to have more of a niche audience. This is because it is much more difficult for print media to have the same amount of coverage and exposure like digital publishing does.

Furthermore, digital publishing is far more affordable and price friendly, rather than the print alternative, this along side the broader exposure. This is why brands prefer this alternative. However there are also, other methods to publishing work. And those methods will be explained in the following:

With self publishing, you have a lot of control of what you decide to do when publishing your products. This is a great starting point for your product if you are new to publishing. This process is usually quite fast with low cost rates. You generally have a small, niche market before gaining attraction as your brand progresses.

The print-on-demand is effective because it's available globally, this means that it's available for anyone, anywhere. The costs for this is fairly small. There are no stock holding costs, which makes it even more cost effective to use.
