Select a country using the given source and create a post that contains the following data: 1. Country, 2. GDP, PPP — latest available value, 3. GDP growth — latest available annual rate, 4. GDP per capita, PPP, 5. Unemployment rate, 6. Gini Index — latest available value, 7. Exports of goods and services, 8. Imports of goods and services. Then add one short conclusion: Based only on these indicators, what makes this market potentially attractive—or unattractive—to an international business?

Even though the country produces products like cocoa, coconut oil, Copra (Dried coconut), Kava (pepper plant). The main reason it's very unattractive is because of location, cost of exports/imports and the sheer lack of natural resources on the island. Vanuatu is a great vacation spot but a terrible business partner

Romania

Country: Romania
GDP, PPP: $968.0 billion (2025)
GDP growth: 0.68% (2025)
GDP per capita, PPP: $50,895 (2025)
Unemployment rate: 6.0% (2025)
Gini index: 29.8 (2023)
Exports of goods & services: $152.1 billion / 35.5% of GDP (2025)
Imports of goods & services: $174.6 billion / 40.7% of GDP (2025)

Judgment: Romania looks attractive as a market to SELL into, less so as a place to bet on growth. Purchasing power is high (~$51k per person, PPP) across a nearly $1 trillion economy, unemployment is low at 6%, and a Gini of 29.8 means income is spread evenly enough to support a broad middle market rather than a thin luxury tier. Trade is 76% of GDP, so the country is already plugged into global supply chains and distribution channels exist.

The problem is momentum. Growth has stalled at 0.68%, so an entrant fights for share in a flat market instead of riding expansion. Imports exceed exports by ~$22.5 billion (roughly 5% of GDP), which raises currency and policy risk — tariffs, devaluation, or austerity would squeeze margins. Low unemployment also means competitive hiring and rising wages, so the old low-cost-labor argument is weaker than it was a decade ago.
