Something new I learned

Something new I learned about my family was that my great grandpa was a chef. I also learned a lot about Mexico's History and Mexico. Like how Mexico was part of a Spanish empire. How after struggling for independence, New Spain became the sovereign nation of Mexico. Mexico is the 14th largest country in the world. Only ten countries in the world have a larger population than Mexico's. A Tradition practiced in Mexico is Cinco De Mayo. Cinco De Mayo is the day the Mexicans celebrate there victory over french forces at the battle of Puebla. Most people get this confused for Mexico's Independence day. Mexico's independence day is called Cry of Dolores celebrated on September 16, 1810. Mexico's national anthem refers to Mexican military victories and defending their homeland. In conclusion i have learned a lot about my heritage and my family from this project.
