         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>Homer and Practice of Oral Storytelling Tradition</strong>-Homer writes the Odyssey and the Iliad.  As both cultures have similarities, they were both very different.  The Incas didn’t have a written language.  They used a method to record and communicate information called Quipu.  Most of their stories were passed down orally.  The Greeks had written words and stories like Homer’s Iliad that has withstood the test of time.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The fullest and most important source of Greek myths and origins of the Gods found in <em>Theogony</em> of Hesiod. Poet Hesiod’s Theogony offered the first written story of Greek mythology.  The Greeks believed in polytheism. For example , the Greeks believed in Helios the sun god and  the Incas worshipped Inti, their sun god.  Both cultures believed in many different gods.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>Construction of the Parthenon</strong>-The Parthenon was built.  This temple was dedicated to the Greek goddess Athena.  Similar to the Incas culture Greeks built temples to worship gods and both the Parthenon and the Incas’ Corichanca temple withstood centuries of earthquakes.  Both cultures were amazing architects.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>Construction of Parthenon</strong>-The Parthenon temple was used for storing gold and money.  Ancient Greeks and the Incas were both rich in gold, which makes them similar.  However the Incas never used the gold for trading only used it for gifts, building and jewelry.</div>]]></description>
