But however Hitler did not go through with his plan to invade England and suspended the "Battle of Britain." This was a major turning point for Britain in WWII and this was also the first all air Battle( planes fighting in the air, no movement on the ground).

The Battle of Stalingrad took place on August 23, 1942 this Battle began with a massive German offense aimed at capturing Stalingrad and cutting off the Soviet Union's oil supply from the Caucasus region. The German sixth Army launched an assault attack on the city under the command of General Friedrich Paulus. The fighting of Stalingrad was also very intense and brutal hand to hand combat and close quarters fighting and they were using heavy artilary.

The Atomic Bomb dropping will forever hurt in our hearts and we will never understand what the point of dropping the bomb was for, we killed innocent people, we killed kids that were playing outside, we wiped out an entire country almost and don't know why. The atomic Bomb being dropped on Hrioshima and Nagasaki were two nuclear attacks carried out by the United States in the final stages of WWII in August 1945 these bombing remain the only nuclear weapons used in warfare.

YES THEY DID IT!!! ON AGUST 15, 1945 after the atomic Bomb was dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki shortly after the Japan decided to surrender and Emporor Hirohito cited the devastating power of the atomic Bomb and the entry Soviet Union into the war.
