The worlds were different in Caroline the world looked like hers but just a perfect version of it. In Alice in wonderland, it was an entire world of fantasy that had many characters that were all unique in their own ways. I think that the imaginary world in Alice in Wonderland was a lot more creative and had more symbolism. For example; the Queen of Hearts is literally represented Alice's main conflict. In Wonderland, she is a singular force of fear who even dominates the King of Hearts. In Caroline, there were a lot of interesting characters like for example the cat. The cat helped Caroline during hard times and helped her accomplish her goals, but the cat was already a character in the real world. Something that these 2 fairy tales share and are highly significant is that both of these girls had to fight their struggles alone. Alice in Wonderland Tunnel: 
One of the main differences of the two tunnels, was that in Alice in Wonderland, she actually wasn't interested int he tunnel at all. The reason she went into the hole was because she saw a rabbit in a suit that sparked her curiosity. She followed the rabbit to a large tree stump, and instead of jumping into the rabbit hole willingly, she fell in accidentally. In addition, unlike in Coraline, Alice fell into another world, not a parallel, "nightmare" world.

Coraline Tunnel:
In the movie Coraline, ever since Coraline learned about the small door int he wall, she was always interested about it and wanted to know what as behind it. So unlike Alice, Coraline wanted to know what was at the end of her tunnel. Therefore, when the mice appeared in Coraline's room and lead her to the tunnel, she took her opportunity and willingly went through.

They just want the approval of their parents and be noticed by them at least once in their life. When they both discovered their own dream worlds they knew they found treasure, they are treated how they want their parents to view them and have anything they have ever wanted. They did not appreciate what they had and wanted a change, there are many kids in the world that would change places with either of these characters ina heartbeat. In Alice in wonderland Alice is struggling with her identity but further down her journey through the magical world is she coming of age and maturing, that was the case Coraline as well. Coraline started off in the town begging to be noticed by her parents and was very immature, by the end of the milf she matured a lot and had built the courage to face her "Other mom" and had freed the ghost of the magical world. The theme of both of these films or stories is identity, courage, and appreciating what you have. I thought that Coraline really hated her normal life because she wasn't getting anything from her parents, her parents were plateauing a little bit, and her life was just really dull. Although I don't like to admit it, a lot of times I dislike my life just because I think that my parents don't love me or something not really true like that. Even though I don't have a portal to a perfect world, after a while, I realize that my parents do love me, I am honestly living one of the best lives I possibly can, and my parents are trying their absolute hardest to try and help me be successful in life. In addition, I feel that these thoughts start to ware off as you start to grow up, because as a kid, I always wanted to live a different life. She wanted to escape and she thought it was a good idea to be in that world. Her life was sad and boring and she needed fun, happiness, and excitement in her so she chose to be in the other world. I can relate to her because every human wants to escape their life one in a while, I escape in different ways whether by playing basketball, going to the beach, or driving those are all ways I clear my mind from my life. When I didn't like how my life was at home I chose to start going out more and it wasn't the best decision that I've made because all I do now is go out and not be at home with my family. He worked hard and some days I wasn't able to see him and it confused and saddened me. It was what Coraline felt when her parents were  not giving her the attention she needed. I rebelled and stirred up trouble to get my father to notice me, but it wouldn't hurt anyone except my self. My father explained to me when I was a kid why he's out working all the time but I didn't care and didn't understand. My situation was very similar to Coraline's but I was glad my mom was there for me everyday. I was not appreciative when I was a child, it wasn't till I grew up and got into my freshman year of high school where I started to understand why my father worked so hard. I believe that in life you have to go through knowing that there are people ready to help you along the way. In comparison with Coraline who doesn't like to stay in her house all day and would rather explore outside. I believe this correlates with me because I like to go outside and explore the world in a fun and exciting way. Being inside all day can get repetitive and the only way to experience is to go out and look around a little bit. Of course, family comes first on the list of those who have your back for life and next comes friends. The bond you build over the years can transcend lifetimes.
