Jon puts up a front that he is a bad boy by putting people down and doing drugs. But is really just hiding his insecurities. I can relate to this even though I don't put on a bad boy front I still hide my emotions like a lot of teens.

Through out the movie Claire is shown to be one of the popular girls of the school. Claire can't hangout with the people in the breakfast club because if she did her friends would be harassed for talking to kids that aren't "cool" or "popular". I wouldn't say I have the same problem as Claire but I can relate to keeping up an image for your friends even if it means doing something you wouldn't normally do or not being completely true to yourself to keep your friends. But if you can't be yourself are they really your friends?

Brian is the geeky kid of the group, he is in a bunch of academic clubs and taking difficult courses. His parents expect him to be acing his courses so he can go to a really good school and get a really good job. But Brian is struggling with his classes and is stressed out. My parents have expectations for me in school and when you start struggling it can be extremely stressful.

Andrew comes off as a cocky jock who thinks he's better than everyone. But really Andrew is being pressured by his dad to be the best all the time not just in sports but by bullying kids that aren't as good as him. But Andrew doesn't care that much about being top dog. Similar to Andrew I have felt pressure from my dad to perform my best all the time but its impossible to always be your best. Luckily my dad has never pressured me into dominating people to show your better than them.

Allison is shown to be a bit of a basket case. She seems to struggle with some mental health issues which she makes fairly obvious. I have struggled with some mental health issues but I never talked about them because its usually something you don't talk about or hide by putting up a front like Jon. I didn't put up a front like Jon but I hide the fact that I was struggling and only recently have I told some close friends and I am glad I did. After I told them they all were there for me and it's nice to know that they I have some friends that I can talk about anything with.
