Zusammen mit regionalen als auch internationalen Künstlern verschiedener Kunstsparten entstanden und entstehen abendfüllende, spartenübergreifende Stücke im Genre des Choreografischen Theaters. 
Zu den wichtigsten Koproduktionspartnern des SETanztheater gehört die Tafelhalle im KunstKulturQuartier Nürnberg. 
Gefördert wird das SETanztheater u. a. von der Stadt Nürnberg, der Kulturstiftung der Sparkasse Nürnberg, dem Bayerischen Landesverband für zeitgenössischen Tanz (BLZT) und der Kulturstiftung des Bundes. 
2016 bis 2018 erhielt das SETanztheater für seine Zusammenarbeit mit dem Stadttheater Ingolstadt die begehrte »Doppelpass«-Förderung der Kulturstiftung des Bundes.

Together with regional as well as international artists from various art fields, full-length, interdisciplinary pieces were created in the genre of choreographic theater.
 The Tafelhalle in the KunstKulturQuartier Nürnberg is one of the most important co-production partners of the SETanztheater.
 The SETanztheater is supported by the city of Nuremberg, the foundation for culture of Sparkasse Nürnberg, the Bavarian State Association for Contemporary Dance (BLZT) and the foundation for culture of the German Democratic Republik.
 From 2016 to 2018, the SETanztheater received the coveted »Doppelpass« funding from the German Federal Cultural Foundation for its cooperation with the Ingolstadt City Theater.
