Definition:
Definition: Believing that our Ancestors had more knowledge about the world and healing than we do today.

Connection:
The video below is a brief 2 minute history of the Salem witch trials. It tells all about how the trials started and how they ended and all the illogical things they did to prove people were and were not witches. It's a perfect example of Ancient Wisdom because nowadays there would never be witch trials in modern society and there is no science to back up the theories and tests that they did.

Object:

By using these celebrities, it convinces people to buy the cigarettes because it's what their favourite celebrity uses so it must be a good product.

Object:

Definition:
Answering an argument or questions with complete nonsense to distract or avoid the question.

Connection:
In this scene from the show 'Family Guy' it shows a debate between Lois Griffin and the Mayor where the Mayor avoids answering a question by showing his affection and admiration toward an undecided voter in order to sway him. Lois begins to do the same thing by just answering "9/11" to all the questions. This is the perfect example because it happens in actual politics all the time where Politicians dodge questions by answering with complete nonsense that people would agree with in order to sway votes and that is exactly what is happening in this clip.

Object:

Definition:
Quantity over quality. Filling a page or giving a speech with filler words to make it longer in hopes that it will sound more legitimate and intelligent. ("Canines are far more superior than felines on the account that canines have the upmost respect, loyalty and regard for their human companions").

Connection:
An example of Proof by Verbosity is basically anything that Donald Trump says. He uses a lot of positive words that are synonyms to describe something such as himself and a lot of negative synonyms to describe anything he doesn't like, such as Hillary Clinton in order to make him seem smarter than what he actually is to his supporters. This clip is an example of him speaking nonsense and absolute gibberish, using a bunch of adjectives that don't even go together in order to say more. The more he says, the more knowledgeable and "good, great and fantastic" he seems to his supporters.

Object:

Patternicity is looking for familiar things you see everyday such as the phenomena of seeing a face on a chip.

Connection:
This is obviously just the front of a car, there are no hidden images.

Definition:
Believing in something we are emotionally attached to and cannot believe otherwise. (As a kid you refuse to believe that Santa Claus is not real, or when a psychic tells you something that your dead loved one "said").

Connection:
Children believing in Santa Claus would be an example of an emotional connection because being told as a child that he isn't real could be heartbreaking to some children, especially when they find out at a young age. They've had this emotional connection to Christmas and Santa their whole lives and to be told it's not a lie, it takes the magic out of Christmas so I can see why children try to believe as long as possible.

Object:

Definition:
Something we don't know the answer to so we make up our own conclusions.

Connection:
This is a video from the famous Los Angeles UFO sighting on December 22nd of 2017 which sent the people of L.A. and the internet into a frenzy, trying to figure out what it was. Of course it was labelled a UFO (Unidentified Flying Object) which lead people to draw to the conclusion that it was Aliens. People drew their own conclusions based off either seeing it in person or on video, which is understandable when you see a ginormous light explode and expand in the sky. .SpaceX later came out and said it was all just a missile test, but for the hours that citizens didn't know what the UFO was, they believed it was Aliens and a lot of people still do believe that theory.

Object:
