""Do you ever read any of the books you burn?" He laughed. "That's against the law!""(Bradbury 5) This quote shows how books get banned by people who have never even read them making it unfair that they were not even analysed for the other side and instead were taken away from the word of a few.

"Colored people don’t like Little Black Sambo. Burn it. White people don’t feel good about Uncle Tom’s Cabin. Burn it. Someone’s written a book on tobacco and cancer of the lungs? The cigarette people are weeping? Burn the book." Bradbury is trying to get across that censorship seems great at first as everyone will get along but it can cause problems if information is not getting out or opinions are being shut down.

Another banned children's book is "The Story of Little Black Sambo". While it was a huge advancement for 1899 as it positively portrayed a young black boy as a hero, it was banned due to the racist slurs and style or imagery. Even though the book is considered very offensive today, it shows the progress we have made through history and should not be banned as a symbol of how far we have come.
