The article states that enhanced achievement, critical thinking skills, and greater cross-cultural understanding are some of the benefits of providing culturally responsive education. The principles of CGI can help provide the culturally responsive environment as we welcome all the diverse ways of knowing, thinking, understanding and representing information.

We need to "promote innovative and education opportunities for students of color." There has been "inequitable school funding" for many years and this needs to stop. Instead of giving less to the least fortunate, we need to give more so they have a chance in this world. Many factors are affecting the health, mindset, and stability of students. We must work together to honor the dignity of students’ lives. Investments in social and emotional learning, restorative practices, and mental health supports that address the trauma many children experience will build stronger relationships, safer schools, and better achievement.
