Family Gratitude - This activity is a lot of fun to do because it's a family activity. You send the students home with the question "Hey, ________, what are you most grateful for and why?" Many guardians choose their child and it's really a confidence boost for some students, some families choose really unexpected things to be grateful for and the students just love sharing! In this activity in particular, you could really incorporate the flipgrid website and allow the parents to share their thoughts with the class. Let the rest of their classmates see the parents express gratitude. It also promotes that feeling of classroom community for the students and parents.

Journal Writing - When you're asking students to share such private thoughts such as envy, it can be beneficial to allow them to write out their feelings in a way in which they don't feel judged.

I'm Grateful For - In this activity, students focus on what they are truly grateful for in their own lives and share with the class why. A great concluding piece would be a show and tell, where they can bring into the classroom something they're truly grateful to have. In this activity you could allow the students to use glogster to present what they want to share. They could photograph or video what their grateful for, given that we're working with third grade it would be a basic construct, but it would introduce them to the ideas.
