For my research I searched around for music videos that inspire me on YouTube, This helped me a lot to put the pieces together for my final music video. I also looked at these videos because the amount of views that they get, this shows that the people that watch it come back to the video because they enjoy the song/video. For example the "Travis Scott - Goosebumps" video there are multiple articles that say that they enjoy the video. "Watch Travis Scott and Kendrick Lamar’s Trippy New “goosebumps” Video". What I will also do for secondary research is searching for new editing techniques on YouTube since it is the area that I most enjoy. What we did was experiment with some shots to a song of our choice. We have done multiple workshops with Dave which I find it really helps because if you have an area or technique you don't quite understand you get a day to learn about it and practice it. For example I wanted to practice a style of transition that I thought I would like to experiment with. I learned how to achieve the transition style and completed the task. A focus group is when a group of people get together to discuss anything, It helps in media because you can learn new things from your group members and you can also teach others. The things you can discuss range from editing techniques to storyboards. I also like use of the wider frame that I will be using in my music video to make it look more cinematic.
