In a oligarchy it is not always just men, like monarchies there are women that appear in councils. Even if the women are not members they are telling their husband(s) or sons what to do and when to do it. Oligarchies are ussally bad for the poor/ people with not alot of money but good for the women or rich women or women from powerful familys. 
Ussally the way a oligarchy works is that there are a small group of leaders that are in charge they are ussally born in that position. That is a oligarchy.

How communism works is about the creation, spread, and downfalls of communism. The idea of communism was at first a good idea. They believed that a utopia( a perfect world in society) could exist if only we put certain new ideas into practice. Although this idea of utopia sounds pleasant, The act of communism can be fatal.
To achieve putting everyone in an equal position, someone has to be controlling every food source, means of travel, companies, and many other rights citizens usually have. Okay, well at least I don't have to worry about those things right? You might say, but in truth, that much power can be devastating. To control all those factors, you now have a dictator. You would not expect this from the idea of utopia, but it is true.  Although some communistic societies still are working to day, many have failed when the idea was first introduced.  An example of how communism when disastrously wrong was the the Bolshevik Revolution. After the destruction and chaos of that time period, many communist governments fell, and were not successful. There are still some of those governments today, but all of these government failed to achieve the goal of utopia, and became dictatorships.
My reflection: You would think a society based on utopia would be perfect right? Well, this article informs us just how devastating that can be. I am very thankful that America is not that way. This article was interesting to me because it provided information about the first communistic societies, and even give examples of these societies today.
