Some New Deal Programs included the Reconstruction Finance Coporation, National Industrial Recovery Act, Federal Credit Union, Gold Reserve Act, Federal Emergency Relief Act, Social Security Act, Civilian Conservation Crops, and U.S. Post Office Department. According to the article "Top 10 New Deal Programs of the 1930s" by Martin Kelly, the New Deal Programs were created to help the nation survive and recover from the Great Depression. I believe the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) was one of the best programs because they provided many jobs, built public work projects, and created trails in parks across the nation. The Public Work Administration (PWA) was created to provide stimulus and jobs during the Great Depression and created jobs for the public to participate in. Finally, the Social Security Act (SSA) also provided income to retired workers and the disabled who paid into the program throghout their working lives. These programs addressed the "3 Rs" of relief for the poor and jobless, recovery of the economy, and reform for the nation's financial system against future depressions.

During the Great Depression, Congress approved Franklin Roosevelt's New Deal which provided $41.7 billion in funding for programs such as work relief and promoted accountability and transparency with those funds! During Covid-19, the Treasury Department and IRS provided three rounds of direct relief payments during the Covid-19 crisis to help economic, health, and societal impacts of the global pandemic. According to the article "The Impact of Coronavirus Could Compare to the Great Depression" by William Gumede says that Covid-19 also brought out an economic depression that created high levels of unemployment and company closures. Covid-19 also caused individual economies to plunge into recession causing businisses to close down and jobs lost, this was also similar to the Great Depression that had similar levels of unemployment and businesses shut down. After the Great Depression, there was a rise in nationalism as a result of financial, social, and emotional hardships of the depression that eventualy led to the second world war. During the Covid-19 outbreak, there was also a rise in nationalism that ccaused financial hardships in the aftermath of the virus. As a result, both of these events lost hundred of millions of dollars and lead to horrifying deaths and caused workers to lose work opportunities and businesses to struggle to survive.

We saw that in the New Deal, the AAA gave farmers profit and also the SSA providing money for elderly people and disabled people. This is similar to covid-19 because the president decided to give out stimulus checks to people affected by Covid-19, we could say that they are disabled and got relieved from their jobs because they were sick and couldn't work. The SSA gave money to disabled people, technically being sick is being disabled because they weren't able to do anything such as go outside, work, or even go to the grocery store. In the passage, "The Great Depression" By Goldfinch It said, "In this way, the city was able to help many more families than just those of the men who worked" These restrictions could also maybe apply for disabled people because they aren't able to go certain places that aren't handicapped accessible like work if they were to work on a job that requires quick movement. Since the new deal gave unemployed people money and so did covid-19 this makes it similar.
Source is "The Great Depression" By Goldfinch

The most important new deal program was the SSA. In the passage "The Great Depression Article 3" it says "The SSA provides retirement pay and insurance for the disabled, unemployed, and elderly people." The SSA is still around today so it must be important. The CCC and WPA are alike because they both build things for people. From the same article it says "The CCC put teenage men to work by planting trees and building dams." In the same article it says "Put people to work by building highways, streets, parks and other vital infrastructure." The AAA is also very important because during the great depression not many people with farms could afford electricity. In the passage "The Great Depression Article 3" it says "The AAA provided farmers with cheap electricity." These are probably the most important new deal programs because they changed to world so much in their time.

All of the new deal programs effected greatly in their own way such as ssa giving insurance to elders, aaa which restored agricultural prosperity, and many more. In my opinion the ccc would have to be the best new deal program. It recruited hundred of thousands young men to work. It helped a lot on the economy since the ccc planted more than 3 billion trees and have made constructed trails and shelters. In an article (listed as source) said that they built wildlife refuges, fishing rearing facilities, water storage basins and animal shelters, To encourage citizens to get out and enjoy America's natural resources. I thought it was heart-warming in a way since they thought positively while they were in the recovering stage of the great depression. The program helped many get back on their feet and also helped the economic.
sources: Civilian Conservation Corps.
