I think she was going back in forth between past and present. I think the theme is Dee gets walked all over on by Maggie throughout her whole life, but in the end her mother finally puts Maggie in her place. I am not a big fan of this story, I think it had a lot of random thoughts in there which is confusing. I guess that would make the plot pretty exciting I guess. story is written in First person, the mothers POV. Apparently there was a fire in their old house which burned Dee pretty good. In return I think it made her disabled. I think there are some big conflicts between the two sisters. Dee is jealous of Maggie because she gets to have a normal life and gets everything she wants and doesn't appreciate it. Maggie is jealous of Dee because her mom babies her. The setting is in a more recent time period and they seem to have a farm or something.
