The next day in class we were talking about what our topics were going to be and I remembered the saw-fish bill that I saw. I already knew that they were an endangered species and I thought it would be interesting if I did a saw-fish because I would get to learn more about them.

Also they eat  crustaceans which are hard shelled creatures like crabs and shrimp and lobster. The reason that what they eat is important is because they have a reserved spot in the food chain and if the sawfish isn't there then it would mess up the populations of the other animals.

But there are some areas that the sawfish's environment is getting destroyed by things like pollution and deforestation of the mangrove trees. This snout may be used to catch fish and also has electroreceptors to detect passing prey. Saw-fish can reach lengths over 20 feet. The small tooth saw-fish might have small teeth but can be quite long. According to NOAA, the maximum length of a small tooth saw-fish is 25 feet. Saw-fish live in shallow waters, often with muddy or sandy bottoms. They may also swim up rivers. Sawfish are ovoviviparous, meaning their young are in eggs, but eggs develop inside the mother's body. The young are nourished by a yolk sac. Depending on the species, gestation may last from several months to a year.
