Through the presentation, I can spot both the way Korean media literacy education have went and have to go. As the presenter mentioned, I think that Korea needs a main institution for media literacy education, since the ability is becoming more and more important as the digital transformation progresses. Through this new center, we can expect the equal, standardized, and high-quality education for all.

Even though we went through a long way of online education, we can't sure that we are 100% media literated. Korea is trying to support media literacy education, but it is still insufficient. With other nation's positive examples, we need to make a specialized organization, and include media literacy education in the school's curriculum.

Like using zoom, non face-to-face class is familiar to me, so I can think more about this topic. I usually think Korea need more practical education for media literacy education. So I was deeply moved by this announcement and also I like their feedback and solution in this presentation. Through Standardized organization and textbook about "youth and media", I hope Korea education about media literacy will develop.

As mentioned in the presentation, I think it is an essential process for the development of education in Korea to get help from various educational methods in advanced countries. It is necessary to create a new educational method that will lead the era by improving the problems of online classes through various policies and law revisions.

All of the teaching methods have changed unfamiliarly, and all of them have returned to the digital era. Now, many students in Korea are already using non-face-to-face meetings or digital well in many ways. However, as the "With Corona" policy is implemented little by little in each country, the risk of COVID-19 increases, and I am worried that the digital era will arrive again. With this video, I was curious about how education in other countries' corona situations progressed.

As shown in the presentation, only some agree that education in developed countries should be emulated. Emphasizing the education of developed countries can lead to the development of our education, but it can lead to adverse effects such as cultural supremacy.. Therefore, when we imitate education and apply it to Korea, we must sufficiently maintain our culture and bring education policies in a direction that fits our country's unique emotions.

For instance, they can face duffuculties preparing degital devices for class. And they would have difficulities accessing wifi to do study in online classes. To solve these problems, school has to lend degital devices to students needed financial helps. And government has to give wifi system to a family with students.

As covid-19 spread all around the Korean society and made the 'uncontact' culture, I agree that education also had major changes in the status quo. Mostly, classes were done onilne by using platforms such as zoom and 'Google Classroom'. This made education keep the method of quarantine and made students safe from Covid than before. However, online educations still face many problems. The problem mainly discussed in this video was media literacy, and I believe that there are other serious problems such as the efficiency of learning online and differences in the educational environment arising the accessibility to the Internet according to the gap between the rich and the poor. I believe that the government should engage more deeply with the current education system and policies.

As the transition to digital is just around the corner, I think it is time for government and National Assembly efforts to establish a sound media ecosystem in Korea to be more important than ever. In particular, referring to the cases of Finland and Canada, we are confident that we are IT powerhouses, but I also thought that it might not seem to be optimized for new changes. All three ways to conclude seemed fine. Accepting feedback, enacting it legally, and inducing voluntary participation of students should be essential for online education. However, if there is one thing that bothers me, I would like to emphasize the need for a device not mentioned in this presentation. In order to achieve the common goal of education, it is essential to find a way for everyone to be together. Therefore, I hope that we can find a way to distribute devices first. In addition, there is no organization that plays a central role like Canada, but if it induces the private sector to participate through economic incentives, it is expected to play a greater role in taking steps toward smooth education and media education in online classes.

As a result, Many students and teachers confused with online classes, and parts of students experienced discrimination because of digital literacy and information gap. Government made effort by publishing the book to solve the digital literacy and information gap like <Youth and Media>, but the limitation of solution is clear.
First, Students who experience digital literacy couldn’t ask for help during online classes. Parents of that students usually go to work and teachers are responsible to direct at least of one class, having no time to help student who experiences digital literacy. Therefore, it is difficult for student to receive essential help with someone.
Next, Students who experience digital literacy need a monetary and educational help.

As a result of Covid-19 hitting the world, many societies came to the 'online mode'. This lead to confusion, misunderstandings, and some were neglected from what they were able to approach before. This brought the need of digital literacy up to the surface. In Korea at the moment, educations in such areas are sufficient. However, there is no specific law on the topic, and that led to too little support from the government. As in the video, we must learn that we are not quite on the right track, and that we must learn from one another.

I feel that the importance of digital education is growing day by day as the COVID-19 virus is worsening recently and it will be difficult to end in the future. First of all, government financial support is very important for digital education to be activated. Building a digital education platform takes a lot of time, money, and technology. Therefore, government support is essential because this is something that individuals cannot do alone. Second, companies should also strive to activate online platforms and promote online platforms using various marketing strategies. Third, individuals should also try to adapt to online platforms. This is because that's how we can live in line with the changing times.

Through online classes, students were able to access various types of educational media and are moving toward the era of edutech, where education and technology are combined. Of course, I thought edutech was suitable for the current society. And it was believed that it was a path to education that fused better technology. However, it seems to have been the first time that it may be difficult to legislate online media. I could always look back on the fact that EduTech was taken for granted. This is because I thought that if students educate with technology, good quality learning would be possible anytime, anywhere if the learner had the will to learn. I think this video was a good opportunity to expand my thinking about education.

The education system responsible for the future of growing children has recently experienced great hardships. As COVID-19 prevented people from meeting in person, our society and education system experienced rapid changes. Therefore, as many students and teachers suddenly conducted online classes, they experienced confusion and had difficulty in class. In addition, students from some families were uncomfortable and discriminated against due to access to digital devices, lack of educational basis due to economic differences, and information gaps.
The government should come up with welfare policies for these students. Although there was a lack of response in the early stages, concrete and practical alternatives are needed in the future. First of all, the payment of electronic devices is prioritized. Some schools provided students with electronic devices such as tablets, but they often suffered from poor conditions. In addition, there were cases where they were unable to participate due to a lack of understanding of electronic devices or online learning, and the state should provide financial support and education on online learning to lay the foundation for education.

Actually there are lot of fake news these day, so it is more important to students to learn digital literacy not only for participating online class appropriately, but also for thinking clearly and critically in digital world.
In this aspect, thinking critically, I think it can expand to the necessities of debating and writing class. Most of the students are evaluated by simple test so they dont think about the ability of speaking and writing seriously but actually it is really important.
So i suggest that debating and writing class is needed for ultimate critical thinking that is helpful for the digital literacy too.

When I looked around, many children had difficulties with online classes, such as people without electronic devices and people who could not help or feed because their parents were busy. Therefore, I think policies should be prepared to solve this problem. Although the government has already prepared policies such as providing electronic devices to low-income children, more reliable policies should be prepared in terms of living.

While offline classes are being replaced by online classes due to the corona virus, and the direction of education is changing, numerous problems have been revealed. For example, there is a lack of online platforms, poor communication, and maladaptation to digital. People tried to improve the media skills of elementary school students by changing the elementary school curriculum, and they created textbooks to educate students about critical reading and media literacy.
It was surprising that South Korea does not have a law on digital media education. Realizing that there are some laws but practically no effect, I researched through the Internet. There was a basic law for the activation of digital-based distance education, which was supposed to be implemented from 2022. This law aims to lead the change of education in the future by supporting digital-based educational innovation. The necessity of remote education operation by the heads of educational institutions, the active participation of students from the disadvantaged in distance education, and the arrangement of support personnel for smooth distance education were written. In my opinion, by amending this law, the problems that have been revealed so far can be fixed one by one.
