What do I make?

I tend to make pieces inspired by my surroundings. For my hanko, I wrote my names via a ball of yarn, a crochet hook, and a darning needle. For my typography posters, other than the client ones, I referenced song lyrics by my favorite artists. For my t-shirt design, I used sheet music from a song that I play on the piano. All in all, I am very influenced from what I see and hear around me.

How do I do it?

With no hesitation, I always use adobe illustrator for my designs. I have tried photoshop, but illustrator never fails me. I adore the pen tool, it was my savior for my coloring book project.

I enjoy graphic design because it is an outlet for me to express my creativity. I have an idea in my head and I need to execute it. Rarely ever will you see me sketching out my designs, I love having the ability to fiddle with orientation, font, color, shape, everything to get it exactly to the grade that I want it. The ideas flow out of my head so easily, and it is so enjoyable to craft it, it's like a puzzle.
