1.1 What is your main reason for using or wanting to use tablets in your classroom?

"In fact, the Tablet in class teaches many methods and many practices. But these
are all located in the groove of the main method of the school of the
twenty-first century, which is to a didactic integrated and multi-channel. Ie a
school that interacts with the students using the most advanced tools in a
simple, clear and effective. I know how important and relevant are using
tablets in the classroom with my students, but actually in my school are not
ready for this type of activity. I know the benefits and advantages of using tablets in my teaching and in the learning of my students. Due to their technical versatility that allow students to develop the skills necessary for the 21st century, to improve digital
literacy and motivate them to create new learning content, to collaborate.
I asked my students to bring in their own devices, adopting the model tabletlet I think simple and complete, but I discovered that only two or three students owned a tablet. Although their relatively low cost make them accessible to the majority of the population, most of my students do not own a tablet. I think that the digital divide between social classes, between families of different economic levels would increase. In addition the conditions for access to the communication network at my school adversely affect the use of such devices. If I had to explain my reasons to support the use of tablets in my class, I would start by making sure that they can share my vision for learning in the 21st century of their children. I know it sounds like a cliché, but seriously, my philosophy of teaching staff involves teaching students for tomorrow, not ust for today. Provide opportunities for them to develop thinking skills, not just learn information. The tablets are the perfect tool (at the moment), for teachers like me to give students the opportunity to interact physically and mentally
with the device. They can explore models of trial and error of thinking, using their analytical thought processes, applying the knowledge and skills at the same time, in different situations to solve problems, create and innovate. They have the ability to move back and forth, experiment, to decide, reflect and share. They can collaborate and themselves and express their learning in ways that do not rely as heavily on how verbal and written communication learning.
So I can get immediate feedback on their understanding and I can better tailor
their learning opportunities. I also believe that teachers need professional development opportunities (both philosophical and practical) use of technology for teaching and learning. There is also the question of time within the daily schedule. To engage students intellectually, giving them the chance to explore and make the neural connections needed is to give them time to learning and constant access to your device. If teachers are forced to control the devices from a central location,
it is sometimes difficult to make sure that two classes does not require the same devices on which students have worked previously. I know I always check the numbers 1-5, as the programs I need are on those iTablet, but if another class has saved the job, or bookmark on the same device, then it becomes a frustration and a complicated process to coordinate , within our time constraints.
So I think, in order to make the vision a reality, we need some changes to
educational policies that direct the development of curricula and there must be
a 1: 1 (or almost) the provision of media in schools. Then the teachers like me
can really flip the classroom, providing students with opportunities to develop
consistent core competencies for the future.

It starts from concrete contexts and real problems of education, addressed through Tablets and new techniques of teaching / learning. You can start from a point or from any tab. Explaining working methods for teaching and learning using the tablet as a notebook integrated media, so that in class everyone has everything. Teachers and students can discover how to make active and dynamic learning through the production of movies, multimedia cards and research synthesis, interactive presentations, lectures minimalist or organized, lessons collage or podcasts. All with a
practical orientation, through tens of examples and procedures such as, for example, arrange a mobile learning, interactive and stimulating. Basically every teacher can use the book to choose their own combinations and levels.
Everything is always explained in a clear and simple.

The tablets at school brings a change in teaching because it changes the dynamics:
is mobile, always connected, is playful and playable. Nothing can be as first class if you adopt the concept of a tablet to school for every student. But, of course, teachers are not required to fully implement what is suggested to them. Teachers who do not want to give up their old system or who do not wish to throw himself fully in the adventure, I recommend taking one of structured activities proposed by the tablet and take it forward continuously reserving a small area of their weekly lessons. And a good way to begin to get into the new, bringing the tablet to school without leaving the old completely. For example you may wish to consider activities related to the production of books and textbooks. With the tablet in school you can build true interactive books and multimedia, but also simple brochures and handouts, until you get to the textbooks of great impact, interacting with students. Or even distribute online content to students with the tools via Apple iTunes U. With the discovery of European Schoolnet ACADEMY via internet, my first experience at the course helped me understand the practical learning activities for my class. All these experiences have made that I can accomplish tasks of skills and learning through the use of a competence based and professional development. I learned a lot in this digital learning environment, these experiences have stimulated me to discover the learning experiences of the other participants through the creation of their MOOC. I think this is not only the future of the students but also my future as a teacher of progress in a changing world with multimedia. The tablets are extremely effective both to deal with the study of new topics and to organize the knowledge already acquired.
Often, as a task in class, I realize my students working in pairs of maps:
teamwork makes them more relaxed, helps them focus, the need to reorganize the knowledge (in my case the various periods of art history ) forces them to understand what are the stylistic elements, such as technique, which of
artistic content etc. etc. Use books, notes and slide to draw the information (I have the hassle of control that does not copy the contrary, they have to use everything they have). Eventually, as organized by the map, I understand, however, the same as what they understand and what they have studied so the evaluation is still quite objective.

I am a teacher of Drawing and Art History at a high school in the province of Naples. My school is an Institute with four different fields of study: High School, Language, Humanities and Art School. Since a couple of years my school devotes much attention to teaching and related training. It has also invested heavily on technology and its wise use. The school boasts an excellent TECHNOLOGY EDUCATION via SmartBoard present in all 44 classrooms, two laboratories ICT with 25 PCs each, and thanks to the presence of various interactive projectors all networked and connected with any type of device in use by students and professors (Lim touch screen, PC / laptops). The internet connection is pretty good, able to use either a cable connection is a wifi connection. However, despite the inclusion of new technologies yet many teachers are still afraid of new technology, but I think it is a problem that must be overcome and look to the future

Therefore, it is necessary to establish a plan / work planning that takes place, so that teachers and students want to follow but respecting all phases of the project.

4.5 Challenges of the Flipped Classroom After watching how Monica set herself up for the flipped classroom and hearing about other CCL teacher's experiences, what do you think are the key challenges to implementing the model in classrooms?
There are many key challenges we have to face. First of all ,we have the fact that there are families who does not have internet at home and even they have, do not give the permission to their kids to use the internet. The second is that we have to change our culture and strategies in this new learning process. Teachers have to work more in creating videos and not all of them have ICT skills. So, determination and allocation of their subjects with the 1:1 time with students.
Of course , we can find some solutions using our passion and enthusiasm for learning. We have to change our stereotypes in teaching.
