Originally I was going to major in biological science to become a doctor, but then I thought to myself "that would take too many years...so maybe in my next life time I'll try it out". Some of the things that I enjoy doing is taking photographs, video editing, writing screenplays dialogues, and I'm learning about music production. I know that I will have a career in the film industry, because that's where I feel that majority of my liking and goals are directing me into. I have currently applied to couple internship in film production, but in the mean time I am doing my own work just to get more experience.

What I think about sustainability is the way of living. For me sustainability is knowing what is beneficial for us to use as well for the environment. The way I practice this in my life is by having a good diet eating at home, being more conscious about the products I buy, and repurposing items that I might not need.

When I think about information literacy I think about the way we consume information through text, photos, media, and also how we use that information to inform others. I think it's also being able to understand the information that is being presented to us, because if we don't understand it then we're just lost ducks in the middle of the road.

The pillar of sustainability that this topic falls in is the social sustainability. I'll be focusing in young adults who enter the entertainment industry as children. Also I will be basing my research of child actors who had or have worked in Hollywood CA. This topic has developed through the years of new child actors and performers that have entered the industry. My research is important, because it will give a different perspective of how fame can affect someones life. With this information about being a "child actor/performer'' will be seen in a different light instead of being glamorized. My research is important to me, because it's an interesting topic that I hear all the time of the negative affects of adults being in the spotlight since a child, and I think it's something different with mystery that will be fun for me to make my research in. What I hope to learn is the long term affects of fame from childhood to adulthood. The authors purpose is to tell the audience about the negative affects of electric vehicles batteries once their usage life is over. The author proved the issue by a way of communicating his point of why electric car batteries are bad stating that electric car batteries have a life cycle and when it ends, the battery can potentially become very toxic for the environment. He also goes over a lot of different problems that inform us about the recycling issue and challenges they are facing. Reading the text is quite frightening which leads me to think that the author uses pathos to persuade the audience emotionally. For example when the author says, "But when the battery comes to the end of its life, its green benefits fade. If it ends up in a landfill, its cells can release problematic toxins, including heavy metals." Emotionally it provokes the audience to feel fear of what those toxins might do to the environment. It also just sets his topic, and gives it the tone of what he is trying to inform his audience. 

Using the IL framework I thought about this article is part of a continuous conversation of the negative affects on the environment, and the recycling issues. This articles has imagery and quotes that have their stated sources.     • The narrative about my topic is that reaching fame and success in a young age can create a negative affect in a child's mental health as they learn and grow to their teen and adult years.

    • The counter narrative would have to be that Fame and success are not the problem to the child's mental health, if not there are plenty of other causes. For example upon my research I stumble across issues like family problems, being in a negative work environment, being forced to work, having to maintain their family at a young age, etc.

    • This counter-narrative can help solve the problem I am trying to write about is by giving me more connections of issues that can be an outcome for a child star mental health. For the audience of this genre it would most likely be family members as well as friends.

    First of all I want to say my gratitude to everyone who has come today to show your respects towards the wonderful karen Zandarski. I know that if we could see her physically now in this room she would be smiling ear to ear of seeing all of you here today at her side. 
    As most of us already know by now Karen left this world on October 2nd 2017 on a typical Thursday afternoon. No one would ever really have thought that it would be her last day here on Earth, and that we would be all here today saying our last goodbyes. 
    Hurts to say that my last word to her was "whatever" after she told me that she could wear my new pink button up t-shirt better than I did. The worst part of all was that I knew she was one-hundred percent right. 
    Karen was an amazing teacher, friend, daughter, co-worker, and much more. She had the most detailed eye for everything she did in her life. She was one of the most caring and understanding persons I ever met in my life. Lets not forget she was also a very patience person, although she was a teacher which means she had to have a lot of it. 
    To all of us who have encounter Karen in the past I like to think that we all carry a little of her personality. I'm sure that her friendship to anyone of us has made us a better person.
    Although we are saying goodbye physically today. I think that she will continue to live through us as her family, friends, her students, and so on. Instead of shedding tears let's smile ear to ear, because that's how she lived her life.
