Wilhelm Maximilian Wundt was born in 1832, in Neckarau which is modernly known as Mannheim. He was a German scientist who was considered the father of experimental Psychology.

William James was born in New York in 1842 to his wealthy father who followed the teachings of a Swedish philosopher. William James learned to speak many languages as they traveled to Europe often. Due to his fathers connections William was accepted into Harvard, he also taught at alma mater, but sickness made that difficult. Through his studies he became what many consider the father of American Psychology.

Sigmund Freud was born in Moravia in 1856 but grew up in Vienna. He became a doctor and he founded a new theory of psychology, which he called psychanalysis or the psychodynamic approach

Wilhelm Wundt was the first to construct a psychology research laboratory at the University of Leipzig in 1879. Wundt was also a writer and is estimated to have written 53,000 pages of published work. His studies and work was surrounding the psychology of mental processes or structuralism.
