A number of theories have been proposed to explain thrill seeking behaviour. Psychologists suggest that genetics play a role, while anthropologists theorize that thrill seeking serves an evolutionary purpose. Perhaps these ideas can help to explain why teens are more likely to engage in risky behaviours than other demographic groups.

People are eating very hot peppers and it's causing medical emergencies. For example, a 47-year-old man "tore a hole in his esophagus" with ghost pepper puree. This shows that some people have more hot peppers than brains.

Society has shifted and more and more females are becoming the breadwinner in their families. In fact, 1/3 women earn more money than their husbands, and that number is growing. This trend is also occurring in other countries such as Britain and the USA. As great as this is for gender equality, the trend is causing rift in many relationships and also excessive stress in some families, due both parents attempting to focus on advancing their career as well as child rearing. This trend is likely to continue (because girls are better than boys), and family roles will adjust accordingly

How might developing the Alberta Oil Sands affect Canada

The oil sands could be a huge economic boost to Canada's and Alberta's economy but at a massive environmental cost. They are expected to contribute $79.4 billion to Canada's economy by 2035 but for every barrel of bitumen produced, 3.5 barrels of water are contaminated. The danger of transporting has also created oil spills. With the environmental concerns, what is the "true" cost of a barrel of oil? 🥑
