This quote tells the reader that Bob Ewell is dead, which I believe to be a very large part of the story. Bob Ewell is a very significant character and his death gave many readers satisfaction, while it left others with questions.

"I went to Atticus and felt his arms go around me"(Lee 359).

This shows that even though Atticus is a lawyer and a stern man, he truly cares for his children. He cares for Scout in a time of need instead of prying her for information. This is a scene where he puts down his briefcase and opens his arms.

"I reckon... then somebody yanked Mr. Ewell down"  (Lee 361).

Because Scout knows Jem broke his arm, she says somebody instead of a name. This really makes the reader think who else could have been at the attack. The person obviously cared for the children, and I first thought it was Atticus. We later find out that it was Boo Radley.

"His face was as white as his hands , but for a shadow on his jutting chin" (Lee 362).

This is the first time the reader "sees" Boo Radley, and it really puts things into perspective. It really shows the reader how long Boo has been away from people and inside his house. I found it very satisfactory to finally know what Boo looked like because I've read about him for so long.
