         <description><![CDATA[<ol><li>It is always important to look to the people who you view as leaders and question what makes them ‘good’ or effective in your eyes. Then, use this information to help yourself. It’s stealing in the best possible way.</li><li>Take things as they come. I was super concerned about getting course work done on time, with the books not being delivered etc. Good leaders are able to assess the situation, reach out to those concerned, and look for the best way forward. </li><li>Everyone questions themselves. The important thing to remember/use going forward is to lean on your resilient nature. We’re teachers. Everyone taking this class is doing it during our ‘off hours’ and in-between life. Use these natural and God-given hurdles to help improve yourself and others through the process of mentoring.</li></ol><div><br></div>]]></description>

To keep from getting burned out, how can we look to one another for strength and help. Even the best mentors had to start somewhere. It is from our hardships and mistakes that we are able to grow.</li><li>How have leadership styles changed in the educational system in relation to different generations of teachers?          <description><![CDATA[<div>1. Emotions are okay. Being vulnerable is okay. It is okay to not be okay sometimes. At the same time, we need to know how to manage our emotions so that we do not exhibit poor behavior.<br>2. Everybody has different values and we need to respect them not only as teachers but as humans. This is something I have believed my entire life but I have never placed it as a characteristic of a good leader.<br>3. My personality may be a bit much and I need to figure out how to tone it back.</div>]]></description>
