When Rebecca was younger, she probably got almost everything she wanted and therefore she hasn´t learned the value of money and how to make rational choices or plan a budget. She has probably educated herself to a journalist. As soon as she earns money, she spends them. We perceive her as a young adult who does not really care about where her money goes. She seems to be very impulsive and does things before she thinks about the consequenses. It seems like she got mostly of what she wanted when she was growing up which resulted in her bad relationship to money she has today. In school she studies journalism and then she thought she could live the lifestyle as she did before and continue to spend money like there is no tomorrow.
