The only thing I would say is maybe spreading the bigger assignments out a little more over the semester. I felt like all of the big point projects were at the end of the last quarter.

There was a wide variety of different assignment types which I actually enjoyed, and the grades were more than fair, if not rigged in the students favor 😂

Truly loved the number of options that you gave on different assignments throughout the semester. This aspect really included different artistic styles, while still showcasing what we learned in some of the stories we read. (I have only had one other teacher that has done this format before with expanding options beyond writing essays,) which is very helpful. You are very fair with grading, and I enjoy the amount of elaborate feedback I receive on my assignments.

You allow your students to actively engage in lesson topics if they choose during class time, and encourage us to do so. Outside of class, we do have discussions in the course, which I enjoy because even if I do feel shy at times, I gain new perspectives from other classmates that maybe I didn't think about or understand while reading over the work the first time around.

I am content with the course organization and layout. I also enjoy the deadline/grace period that you offer, especially now heading into exams when seniors are needing to turn in past assignments or assignments that are due/assigned this week. This allows me to put greater effort into my short story since I don't have to feel as rushed and stressed, especially if other teacher's have different deadline systems. Also, I liked how you had reading schedules into the course as we read Dracula, which helped me with an incentive to find time and stay on track, as Dracula was one of the longer reads we had this semester. This visual reminder of seeing the dates for the chapter sections really came in handy.

Enjoyed the chapter reviews and vocab for the different short stories or novel(s) we read throughout this semester and the school year in general. I also enjoyed each of the short stories and novels we read this year. (Much better than other ELA courses I have taken prior).

Plenty of support opportunities in your class, through the lessons, in class discussions, emails, and small group sessions, which you can ask for if they aren't on your schedule as well.

You are very encouraging and supportive to us inside and outside of class.

I liked the literature selections out of all aspects of the class. Wasn't big on 'reading' whole novels, but overall I like the selections

The course content was super easy to navigate and the reading was a breeze! I loved the literature selections, they were interesting and different than most books I've read before. It definitely opened my mind to new perspectives.
