As people were compelled to stay home for work and school, there was an increase in screen time and technological use. According to one source, "According to our cyberbullying research, in which we studied parents of kids between the ages of 10 and 18, 21 percent of children have been cyberbullied...As of January 2020, 44 percent of all internet users in the U.S. said they have experienced online harassment." This shows how prominent usage of computer technology to harm others by way of cyberbulling among other abuse forms.

It starts with parents teaching their children the golden rule: Treat others the way you want to be treated.  Not only that, parents must be able to demonstrate acts of kindness so their children can follow their lead. As stated by the Mental Health Foundation, " Acts of kindness have the potential to make the world a happier place." In essence, this message can be applied to the digital world. The more peole respect and obey computer ethics, the happier people will be.
