Example: An example of how elderly are impacted is the Silver Zones. In the Silver Zones , there are gateways marked with bright fluorescent signs and yellow painted road strips to indicate the start of a Silver Zone. In the Silver Zone, the speed limit is reduced to 40km/h and lanes are reduced at some road sections to shorten the crossing distance and reduce the time taken to cross roads.
