I'm a member of Tugon Ateneo, and organization that shares time and love with children who have been abandoned or have experienced sexual abuse. I'm also a volunteer for Sulong! Philippines, an organization that provides aid (psychological, legal, medical, and shelter) to victim-survivors of sexual and gender-based violence. My interactions with the girls from ECPAT have truly changed me. They inspire me to be more patient, to be kinder, to appreciate the weird and wonderful things about life, despite its hardships. The people I work with in Sulong inspire to show up and stand up for myself and others. They all teach me how to be a better advocate, to be a better person. It's not easy to have this advocacy, but they inspire to never stop fighting for what is right.

This is a photo of one of our community visits to Antipolo for one of my organizations, one that advocates for public health. This is the community pantry of Maginhawa St. in Quezon City. This was set up by Ms. Ann Patricia Non as a way to help the community get food in the midst of the pandemic. I think that this is not magis only on Ms. Ann's part but also the community itself. The set up was based on take what you need and give what you can. Hence, the community worked hand in hand to ensure that everone has food. Some people donated food items every now and then for others to take what they need and only what they need so others can have food too. This way of giving inspired me to be more giving especially during the hard times. It also reminded me that helping others is so much better when done together.
