         <description><![CDATA[<div>The Amazon Rainforest consists of a huge stretch of land in Latin America filled with trees and tropical animals that call the forest their home. along with that, the forest poises home to the Native Amazonians, people who have lived in the forest and have been living off the resources they have for fifteen-thousand years. <br><br>however, settlers and humanity in general are threatening the long term survival of the rain forest. not only that, but our behavior threatens extinction on the animals that live here, considering they—and the Natives—need that land to survive.</div>]]></description>

For instance, dozens of different kinds of species live in it; the Rainforest is their only world. not only that, but the Natives also heavily depend on that stretch of land. they all deserve to have their land protected and preserved. there's so many different ways we can safely use the Amazon Rainforest, so why cut it down and destroy one of nature's most beautiful treasures?</div>]]></description>

The climate in Brazil will be affected is deforestation continues.<br>3. 20% of the Rainforest has been removed since the 1970s.<br>4. Trees help reduce the level of carbon dioxide released into the air, the more we chop down the trees, the more carbon dioxide is released and the more our world is affected by global warming.<br>5. 25% of the western medicine used today has ingredients that originated from the Amazon Rainforest. if deforestation continues, we may never find out about other useful herbs that could have the medical potential to save lives.<br>6. The Amazon trees are responsible for providing 20% of the world's oxygen, earning them the nickname, Lungs of the Planet. if the forest is cut down, the world may have significant breathing risks.<br>7. people from around the world rely on the Amazon for nuts, veggies, fruits, coffee, potatoes, corn, rice, spices, and many more important foods found here. These foods could become abundantly scarce if the forest, as we know it, disappears.<br>8. Deforestation has lead to the decline of indigenous tribes as their homeland is invaded and destroyed.</div>]]></description>
