I agree with the message that by fighting for freedom you will succeed, and that fighting for freedom isn't an easy task to do. In "Freedom's Plow," Langston Hughes compares protesting and fighting for freedom to plowing a field, and says to hold on to the plow. Plowing is a hard thing to do, and so is fighting for freedom. With all of the examples, you showed that it isn't an easy road to freedom, which was a good point to bring up.

When they stated that America was created for freedom then why did it take such a long time to get freedom. If America was created for freedom then the fight should not have been such a long and hard process

I think it is correct about the Black Lives Matter Movement as a possibility to be used in the updated poem. I like how they state background information about it and included prominent figures in the Black Lives Matter Movement although I would have connected those people back to the poem by commenting how Hughes included quotes from Lincon ,Jefferson, and Fredrick Douglas.

I think that this is right when it says that you can't stop fighting for freedom. And even if somebody wasn't able to get their freedom it would still be important for them to keep believing and fighting for it.

I agree that the message of Freedom's Plow is to keep fighting for freedom. The connection made with the fight for freedom today and the racism that is existing is very true and also connects to the message of the poem that if you keep fighting and "Hold On" that you will succeed, but it may take time.

I agree with how they tied it into the present, by saying racism still exists today and this poem is still relevant for how we should hold on until freedom is fully achieved
