After doing my research, I believe that the knight would win. Analyzing the armor of each show that the knight have a heavier set of armor as a whole to protect their body and the addition of their shield for defense as well.

The offense of the battle would just be too spread out for the samurai to keep up. The only main long ranged weapon the samurai would have is the longbow. But on the other hand, the knight had the longbow, the throwing axe, and even a big group of poled weapons. And I’m close range battle the samurai may have a higher hand but the knight could keep the battle to his range.
