Reason/evidence: First of all no animal can breathe fire how would they do that? Second just because they have wings doesn't mean they were a dragon. They could have been any other creature in prehistoric time like a dinosaur but not a dragon. Even if the fire looked like it was aimed that probably not true it could have got on fire then put it out with water.
