A violent clash between rival gangs at a prison in the coastal city of Esmeraldas, Ecuador, has left at least 17 dead, according to a statement from the National Police.

“The situation stems from an external order from Los Tiguerones organized crime group to eliminate members of Los Lobos, Los Choneros and prisoners not affiliated with Los Tiguerones,” police said.

Police confirmed that a security operation was deployed in the central area of Esmeraldas prison and warned that the death toll could rise as the recovery of bodies continues.

A preliminary report indicated that the clashes began in one of the prison’s cell blocks after an ambush in which inmates stole cell keys, enabling them to target prisoners in outer cells.

Believe it not after all of this, the white house is moving forward with the decision to send $20 billion bailout for Argentina. Americans are coming together and asking what exactly is "America first" while millions are suffering at home. Trumps promise is falling hollow, he's dismantling the goverment programs that working families rely on, abroad hes using tax payer dollars on risky payout for a foreign goverment just because their goverment shares the same political views. If this is his idea of America first, Americans deserve far better.

An unknown woman left a newborn child at the Midtown Manhattan subway station on Monday morning. The newborn was left at about 9:04 am then the woman fled on foot. The child was reported via an anonymous tip, and the NYPD and fire department responded quickly. The baby was conscious and in stable condition on the way to the hostpital.

Schools that banned phones saw surprising results beyond fewer distractions

A school in Florida had banned the use of cellphones beginning the 2024 school year. Although disciplinary actions spiked as expected, the ban proved to be a major success for students.

They continued, "Interestingly, we observe significantly improved student test scores in the second year of the ban (about 2-3 percentiles higher than the year before the ban) when suspensions revert to pre-ban levels."

The study, which is not peer-reviewed, also noted a decline in unexcused absences, which researchers say may have contributed to the higher academic performance.

A 29 year old chess master died just on Monday. He was a young talented person who got the name child prodigy because he was so smart and really good at chess. He death is unidentified. He became a grandmaster at chess at the age of 18 winning the world chess and becoming a chess champion. at the age 12 he was the under 12 world champion and found strategy's and read books of chess. He loved streaming and being educated.
