Martin Luther King is one of the most influential civil rights activists. Martin Luther King, Jr. was born in Atlanta on 15 January 1929. His non-violent protests helped to raise awareness of racial inequalities in America. A turning point in the life of Martin Luther King was the Montgomery Bus Boycott which he helped to promote. This broke the strict segregation of coloured and white people on the Montgomery buses. Martin Luther King was also an inspirational and influential speaker. He made an iconic "I have a Dream Speech" delivered in Washington. His speech was focused on the need to move and was largely free of revenge.

I personally respect Johan van Hulst as one of the people to change the world. He was a Dutch teacher who saved about 600 student's lives from the Nazis during the holocaust. He also helped hide innocent Jews during the world. He wasn't given the order nor the plea to do that. However, he chose on his own will to help those people and even risked his life for them. He isn't well-known like Martin Luther King or Ghandi but he played a significant role during the world. I learned about him when I was preparing for my history presentation about the holocaust 4 years ago. I was surprised to know that not a lot of people knew who he was as his name isn't well-known in the society. However, I think that he desereves to be acknowldeged by every people as he showed the world that even a small person cound do big deeds.
