-The world is getting warmer:
Last year's global temperature was 1.69 degrees higher than the 20th century average. Every year the temperature fluctuates, but each year it gets higher and higher.
-It's because of us
CO2 and human-emitted greenhouse gases have formed a blanket, trapping heat at earth's surface. We have doubled CO2 emissions since the 1960s
-We're sure
9/10 scientists agree that carbon emissions are the main cause of global warming. A 2013 review showed that 4,014 research papers found that 97% said humans cause global warming.
-Ice is melting fast
Seas could rise 3 or more feet by 2100. The ice in the ocean has melted and thinned. Last September the ice range was 825,000 square miles smaller than the average. The sea level rise of 8 or 9 inches since 1900 has contributed greatly to floods.
-Weather is wreaking havoc
The number of climate related disasters have more than tripled since 1980. The heat wave has killed around 70,000 people in Europe in 2003. Climate change has caused 506 excess deaths in 2003.
-Species are being disrupted
47% of species have vanished from their habitats because of the warmer temperatures. Regions are being transformed because of the ecosystems being ruined.
-We can do something about it
195 countries have signed the Paris agreement which they pledged to try to keep the global warming under 3.6 degrees Fahrenheit

Mental Health:
There has been a name for the global anxiety that global warming has caused- solastagia. Because of global climate change, people lose their homes and loved ones. Fires, floods, hurricanes, etc. all have been increased and intensified because of global warming.
Infectious Diseases:
As the planet gets warmer, mosquitos and other disease-carrying insects/animals travel to different parts of the world that are unintroduced to diseases.
Extreme Heat:
There have been more than 1/3 of heat related deaths due to global warming. The human body cannot handle heat that is above 98.6 degrees Fahrenheit. The heat can cause stress on your body.

Giant Pandas and climate change-
The Giant Pandas have a relatively small population. Because of this they have a harder time adapting to climate change. Bamboo is 90% of a panda's diet, and they keep dying off because of global warming, causing pandas to relocate. Logging and deforestation has moved the pandas upwards, but it may be approaching them faster and faster, causing them to move constantly.
