In low-income families, period supplies can be seen as something non-essential but, having the right supplies to deal with your period can seriously reduce the possibility of infections and improve menstrual hygiene. </title>

<title>In recent years people have come out saying that using a tampon has resulted in toxic shock syndrome. While this statement is not entirely false, there is much confusion that surrounds it. To break it down, toxic shock syndrome does not happen just from using a tampon. Instead using a tampon creates an environment that certain bacteria’s that release a toxin that results in the condition. </title>

<title>By having a program that funds and supplies feminine products to students, some people believe that it will get some mature ideas into their child’s head. In this case having a program that contains female hygiene products shouldn’t illicit ideas about sexual acts. Perhaps a sex ed. program would, but this program would only be educating you on how to use sanitary products. </title>

<title>In the simplest words, I believe that public schools should be suppling their female students with feminine products. I think that although the negative points are valid, the benefits from the cause are much more important. If you were to be able to make the school environment just a little bit easier for at least half your students, why wouldn’t you? </title>

<title>1.8 billion women in the world have a period each month. Roughly 45% of those 1.8 billion are dealing with this aliment while also being responsible for 7 academic classes. Having an eventful schedule like this, it can be easy to forget things, such as, the day your period is coming. It can be a common occurrence to forget to pack a sanitary pad or tampon for your period, so if schools were to provide these essential products for students, it would make things all the easier for them. </title>
