Nine month later, on December 1, 1955 Rosa Parks did the same thing Claudette did, only she got more recognition from her actions. This was because Claudette did not tell her story to many people when she had moved to New York City and Rosa Parks was apart of the NAACP (The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People) and was thought to be a good icon for others.

At some point during the ride, there were no seats left for white people, so Claudette was asked to leave her seat.
