We have a mentality that "bigger is better", but we fail to realize that overeating is a form of malnutrition just as underrating is. Adding to that, Americans waste 200 pounds of food per person each year, so we're obviously biting off more than we can chew.

This would cut back livestock farming dramatically, decreasing our methane output. It would also be beneficial for our waterways as animal waste wouldn't be washed away. Soil erosion and degradation also wouldn't happen because we wouldn't have animals like cows overgrazing and pulling out root systems. Do you think the world as a whole would ever start eating insects opposed to other forms of protein?
