Last holiday, my family and I went to Batu for 3 days. We decided to go to Batu again to feel some fresh air again. After 2 hours on the road, we checked into a cozy hotel in Batu that had a great view of that place. In that place, we tried some local food. It was very tasty and looks good. After that, we took some rest. Actually, not many activities that we did in Batu, because this is not our first time. We had visited Batu for many times. We went to Jatim Park, Ecogreen, and the other interesting places.

Andrew Julian Hartono

XI-3/02

Hoesik Habit for Bonding Time

The world of work in South Korea is very stressful on the mental and health of its employees, so the habit of after work bonding becomes their place to release fatigue and stress. This habit has indirectly become a tradition for most South Koreans, as known as Hoesik. They usually do this ritual after the working hours. They invite their friends or the other employees to gather outside the office for have a dinner or drinks soju together, a poper alcohol drink. After that, some of them continue their activities by going to bars, karaoke, or other "entertainment" place. Actually, this activity is both fun and exiting.

In my opinion, this is a positive activity to strengthen relationships with friends, where they can share their stories and release their stress. But sometimes, this activity leads to bad things. Not a few of them become drunk because of drinking alcoholic drink. Many bad things can happen when they get drunk, not only for themselves but also to the people around them. This is especially true when some of them go to bars or karaoke. They are not in the best physical condition, they should go home and rest well for a new energy the next day.

Andrew Julian Hartono

XI-3/02
