I would love for us (ASLA) to use Google + Hangout for communicating. A Google + Hang Out allows up to 10 people to participate at once. It can also be recorded, shared then listened to whenever time permits.
I have listened to the most recent First Friday. It is all about Maker Spaces. I know Debbie Turner, MCPS, has been learning about Maker Spaces. I have had Principals of other schools ask me. Our school has begun to incorporate STEM activities. Many of the activities are the same. Anything on Maker Spaces would be great to learn how other librarians are making this work. I have a large school population, but a very small library. I do not have the assistance of an aide. Suggestions are most welcome.
I get so much mileage by teaching AVL to K, 1st, and 2nd grade I use the firsts months of school in this reseach. I am adding other data bases to our searches. We are working on writing about what we listen to and read in our search then posting to Padlet. Any other resources like Padlet would be of interest to me. Padlet sometimes has issues.

I think definitely moving toward open and flexible spaces as well as maker spaces seems to be pretty popular! I would be interested in this, especially incorporating makerspaces with limited actual space. So excited to be a part of ASLA again, after moving back "home" 6 years ago.
