         <description><![CDATA[<div>Great Britain wanted to split India into two before transferring its powers back because then there would be "less fighting" between religious beliefs. The Muslims and Hindus were turning against themselves and so the British felt it was best to make people pick whether or not they wanted to stay in India or go to Pakistan. More people chose to go to Pakistan but there were less resources being transferred to there.</div>]]></description>
