         <description><![CDATA[<div>Food goes bad because of something called Microbial Growth. Microorganisms, specifically bacteria, molds, and yeasts, can cause food to spoil. For example, microorganisms that break down fats in unsalted butter can cause it to become rancid. </div>]]></description>

         <title>6 Different Food Preservation Techniques</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>1. Freezing: One of the most commonly used processes for preserving food. That includes prepared foods that would not have required freezing in their unprepared state. <br>2. Heating: The high temperatures kill microorganisms inside the food. This method is used with perpetual stews. <br>3. Pickling: Is a method of preserving food in an edible, antimicrobial liquid. First, you put the food in a bowl with salt. Once the food is at perfect timing, you trasfer it into a jar filled with vinegar.<br>4. Salting: Salting connects to a drying method. Instead of heat, people use salt to drain the food of moisture.<br>5. Canning: Canning is a procces where you put foods like jam into a jar and close the lid. You then need to put the jar in boiling water for a couple of minutes. After that you put the canned food on the shelf.<br>6.Fermentation: When you use the fermentation method, you are making you food ripe. Think of cheese as a food that uses fermentation.</div>]]></description>

         <title>5 Different FoodBorne Illnesses</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>1.Salmonella: Salmonella is a bacteria that comes from some uncooked foods. The most common food is uncooked eggs and dairy. Salmonella can cause diarea, fever, and cramps in the abdomen. In most cases, salmonella goes away naturally.<br>2.Campylobacteriosis: Campylobacteriosis is a bacteria that usually comes from uncooked chicken. The symptoms of campylobateriosis are diarea, cramping, fever, and abdominal pains, nausea, and vomiting. In some cases you will need medication to get rid of this illness. Doctors may use Azithromycin and fluoroquinolones to cure you of campylobacteriosis.<br>3.Hepatitis A: Hepatitis A is a virus that can come from shellfish that is prepare using sewage-infected water. It afffects the liver. The virus is very contagious and can be spread easily from person to person. The symptons of Hepatitis A are Fever, Fatigue, Loss of appetite, Nausea, Vomiting, Abdominal pain, Dark urine, Clay-colored bowel movements, Joint pain, and Jaundice. </div><div>4.Cyclosporiasis: Cyclosporiasis is a parasite that is travled through contaminated food and water. Travlers are more likely to get the illness that natives. The symptoms of this parasite are the following: diarrhea, weight loss, no appetite, cramping, bloating, nausea, vomiting, and fever. The treatment is Bactrim, Septra, and Cotrim.<br>5.Anisakiasis: Anisakiasis is parasite that is caused by worms entering the intestine. You get Anisakiasis when you eat raw fish and squid. When you have this parasite you need to get a surgery to remove it.</div>]]></description>
