Mathews, PsyD, LP, attended Metropolitan State University before going on to receive her doctor of psychology from the Minnesota School of Professional Psychology at Argosy University in St. Paul. An accomplished student, she was nominated as the Outstanding Student of her graduating class at Metropolitan State and belonged to Psi Chi, the international honor society in psychology. Today, Dona L. Mathews, PsyD, LP, remains apprised of developments in her field through membership in professional groups such as the Minnesota Psychological Association. Dr. Dona L. Mathews draws upon this training as the principal and director of Metro Psychology Support Services, a St. Paul organization that she has led since 2006. There, she offers rehabilitative mental health services to a diverse adult population from the Greater St. Paul region. Additionally, she provides guidance, support, and the necessary licensure to allow her staff of more than 30 mental health professionals to deliver services while pursuing their own mental health licenses.
